Air-gap checklists for small teams

When two people share verification duty, silence is not enough — you need a spoken order of operations. Datanode Core’s Witness Script Studio borrowed these beats from the Seed Phrase Audit Workspace isolation bay.

Before anyone sits

Confirm the offline device is already powered and disconnected. Place phones in a closed bin outside the bay. Agree who reads, who watches hands, and who may call a stop.

During verification

Reader speaks only checklist line numbers aloud, not phrase words, unless the exercise explicitly uses a disposable practice phrase. Watcher tracks the script with a pen, not a second screen.

After reseal

Both initials go on the log. Only then does anyone retrieve phones. If a step was skipped, mark the audit aborted even if the phrase “felt fine.” Feeling is not a field in the log.
